2018 Plan: Engaging the Next Generation of Ag Service Professionals, and More
Here at Meister Media Worldwide (MMW) HQ we’re deep in the throes of content planning for 2018.
Our rookie season with the refocused PrecisionAg® Professional brand now squarely in the rear-view, I guess now is as good a time as any to let you in on some of the things we have up our sleeves for 2018.
First, we’ll of course continue to strive to bring you the latest and greatest news, features, and concepts across the world of ag tech and precision technology, in these very pages. In an era when most are bypassing traditional print mediums, we still see value in showing up in your mailbox or on your desk every other month.
But wait, there’s more!

We’re looking at some really cool new initiatives and in-person events, including a possible West Coast event specifically catering to one of the more dynamic market forces in the world of ag tech: The California Pest Control Advisor (PCA).
Here in the Midwest, we’re also in the process of hammering out a partnership with South Dakota State University faculty for a retailer/dealership high-level management symposium tentatively titled “The PrecisionAg Accelerator.”
We’ve heard for years, from various voices throughout our world, that the industry needs additional continuing education training at the dealership executive/management level, and for 2018 I’d say we’re laying all of our cards on the table in that regard.
Not to mention just a couple weeks ago, members of our PrecisionAg Institute decided to re-examine a possible dual leadership role for the Institute and our PrecisionAg Professional brand in engaging FFA students on precision technology education and training, with the goal of helping the industry nurture and cultivate the next crop of ag tech specialists.
So, I suppose it’s safe to say it’s looking like 2018 will shape up as a busy, yet critical year for us, and I’m sure many of you are feeling the same anticipations for your 2018 business plans.
Thanks for letting us be a part of your 2017, and Happy Holidays!
