Must-Attend Precision Events in 2016

PrecisionAg® Media is pleased to be involved in three important precision agriculture events this year, each with its own unique focus.

InfoAg Conference

July 31 – August 4  |  Doubletree Union Station, St. Louis

The InfoAg Conference returns to St. Louis on the heels of a highly successful 2015 event that was attended by more than 1500 individuals. This year, the International Society for Precision Agriculture InfoAg logo
(ISPA) is bolting its biennial meeting onto InfoAg, beginning on Sunday July 31 and concluding Tuesday morning, August 2. The InfoAg Conference picks up on Tuesday and continues through Thursday, August 4.

InfoAg is truly a practitioner conference, featuring six tracks of educational sessions that are designed to help agronomists, consultants, Extension, and agronomy managers to evaluate and improve their techniques and approaches to crop planning, production and harvesting. InfoAg is produced by the International Plant Nutrition Institute, in conjunction with PAQ Interactive. PrecisionAg Media is a proud partner, and is responsible for development of the PrecisionAg Center, a commercial precision vendor area featuring more than 120 exhibit booths.

PrecisionAg Innovation Series #3

Game-Changing Advances in Precision Farming Technology

August 29  |   Des Moines Marriott Downtown

PrecisionAg® Media began producing events in 2014 with the production of the first Big DataInnovation Series Workshop in Ames, IA. Focused on the increasing concern about data privacy and ownership of field data, the conference drew more than 300 individuals from across the agriculture spectrum.

A second Big Data Workshop drew more than 200 attendees to Columbus in February 2015, and its success and positive industry feedback led to the creation of a broader franchise of precision technology events, the PrecisionAg® Innovation Series.

The PrecisionAg Innovation Series features one-day conferences designed to explore the real opportunities, challenges, and pain points being experienced by growers and precision agriculture technology integrators “on the ground,” with the two-pronged goal of providing deep-dive educational sessions and unmatched networking opportunities with the key thinkers and leaders in ag technology today.

The first event was held in Springfield, IL, in August 2015, and focused on existing and emerging data platforms. The second event, hosted in St. Louis in January 2016, centered on the perspectives of five farmers, their individual use of technology, and opinions of the technology and data tools and strategies currently available today. Nearly 500 attendees were on hand for the two conferences. To download presentations from the first two events, visit our Learning Center.

The Innovation Series continues this summer with its third event, “Game Changing Advances In Precision Farming Technology,” on August 29 in Des Moines. Using case studies of actual success stories in technology use and collaboration, this session will provide real “on the ground” examples of how technology is helping pave a clear path to success in areas such as sustainability, water management, robotics, and sensors.
