TeeJet Adds Boom Shutoff Manifold

TeeJet Technologies recently released its new 540 series manifold for sprayer boom shutoff, featuring a gear driven, plunger-style design that provides long-term reliability in a more compact size.

The 540 can also deliver improved wear-life when working with abrasive solutions and generates strong closing force for positive shutoff. Additionally, the side inlet/bottom outlet configuration and integral mounting brackets allow for easy installation on wide range of sprayers.

“With the introduction of the 540 series shutoff manifold TeeJet now gives our customers the choice of both plunger- and ball-type boom shutoff valves. They can choose the manifold that best fits their machines and applications,” says Tim Stuenkel, Marketing Manager with TeeJet. “We are pleased to continue to provide our customers with newer and better boom shutoff solutions.”

The 540 series shutoff manifold uses a modular, flange inlet design for easy assembly into blocks of five, ten or more section valves, and has a shutoff time from fully open to fully closed of 0.7 seconds. The valves provides a flow rate of 27 GPM at a 5 psi pressure drop and 38 GPM at a 10 psi drop with a maximum pressure rating of 175 psi. The 540 also features a quick connect outlet fitting for rapid attachment and detachment of boom lines. The 540 manifold is equipped with an integrated 3-Pin Metri-Pack 150-series shroud connector and an optional 98546 adapter cable is available for easy electrical hookup.
