Cotton Seminar Explores Technology

New cotton technologies are hitting the market. Shifts in pest complex scenarios continue to cause producers and their consultants to re-evaluate their production and crop protection decisions.

To help the market cope with the changing market, Cotton Incorporated is once again hosting one of its most popular events, the Crop Management Seminar.

The 2010 Crop Management Seminar (CMS) and related Precision Cotton and COTMAN™ Workshops will be held November 9-11 at the Memphis Marriott East, in Memphis, Tennessee, and will feature expert speakers and demonstrations to help attendees understand the current cotton market and make best decisions for their operations.

“Today’s consultants have to provide a broader range of services and advice to their producer clients and this conference helps them accomplish that goal,” explains Cotton Incorporated’s Dr. Pat O’Leary.

This year’s CMS will not include sessions and speakers on insect and weed management, as well as variety selection and precision agriculture. Cotton Incorporated’s Dr. Ed Barnes will host two Precision Cotton Workshops on November 11.
