AGCO Revamps Sales And Service Groups For Ag-Chem Brands

AGCO Corporation’s Application Equipment Division has consolidated its sales and service groups into one single source in support of the Ag-Chem brand. This includes both RoGator high clearance sprayers and TerraGator flotation applicators.


AGCO has entered into agreements with Caterpillar dealers that hold AGCO’s Challenger contract to assume this responsibility. AGCO believes that integrating Ag-Chem sales and support into the Caterpillar operations will significantly improve its ability to support product after the sale, minimizing operator downtime. The company asserts that giving CAT/Challenger dealers the ability to sell and service Ag-Chem equipment will allow them to offer enhanced customer service through a single point of contact.

“Since its inception in 1963, Ag-Chem has built its reputation on meeting the needs of our customers with high-quality, innovative equipment and exceptional product service and repair,” says Steve Koep, Vice President, AGCO Application Equipment Division. “Merging with CAT’s outstanding sales and service network strengthens our ability to support our customers better than anyone else in the industry.”

Ag-Chem’s new service program is patterned after CAT’s mobile service fleet: a technician and fully equipped truck that provides maintenance and service on-site. Non-stocked parts will generally be available via next-day delivery.

The mobile service fleet will also offer such services as regular maintenance checks, oil and coolant analysis, and other optional services to decrease wear, identify potential problems and maintain equipment life.
