Geospatial solutions provider RapidEye has signed MDA Geospatial Services Inc. (MDA GSI), a subsidiary of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) to be one of its data distributors in Canada.
“We are glad to have MDA GSI on board as our distributor for Canada,” says John Ahlrichs, Vice President of RapidEye. “MDA led the development and delivery of our satellite system as our prime contractor. It’s only natural that their Geospatial division will be growing the market for RapidEye data in Canada.
“Through this partnership,” he continues, “we will benefit from MDA GSI’s expertise, their excellent data sales infrastructure, and their long-standing, trusted relationships in the Canadian market.”
Paulo Bezerra, the manager responsible for this business area for MDA said that he looks forward to “collaborating with RapidEye and their team of experts. We trust in this partnership and expect great interest in RapidEye’s high quality satellite imagery in the Canadian market. We are also looking forward to partnering on joint solutions projects developed from optical and radar imagery.”
Currently, RapidEye is working on completing its worldwide network of distributors in order to facilitate easy access to RapidEye products in their customers’ own language and region. For a full list of RapidEye’s distributors, please visit the web site.
