South Korean Government to Create Smart Farming Ecosystem for Sustainable Growth

South Korea will strive to create a smart farming ecosystem that takes full advantage of the latest breakthroughs in technology to transform agriculture into a sustainable, future growth industry, the government said, according to a report from Yonhap News Agency.

The government said the country will concentrate its resources in areas such as robotic and drone-based farming, strive to use a dedicated agricultural satellite, and introduce advanced plant breeding and microbes in the raising of crops.
