Partners in Precision
Benefits from the use of precision ag technology come from knowing more and being able to do something about it. In today’s crop production environment, that is likely to mean working with your advisers to make the most of precision.
![]() | Consultants. PrecisionAg is an intersection of agronomy and technology. There are many consultants who are combining these areas of expertise to help you make better decisions. Some have begun as agronomists and now apply these new tools to optimize their expertise, others began as technology geeks and now know a lot about agronomy. Either way, they can help you find your way. |
![]() | Crop Input Retailers. Those that sell you chemicals, fertilizer and seed may be able to offer you the benefits of precision through a full service approach, or on an “a la carte” acre-by-acre or individual service basis. Many retailers have certified crop advisers (CCAs) with precision ag experience on staff to help make sense of the data. |
![]() | Equipment providers. Of course, this can mean the big guys, like AGCO, Case or Deere, or it can mean technology leaders like Ag Leader, Trimble, Dickey-john and others. These companies are intent on helping their customers have a successful experience. |
![]() | Software/service providers. The old maxim “garbage-in, garbage-out” can describe the challenge of your field data, too. Software providers such as SST can help assure that you are harvesting valid data and storing it correctly. GPS signal providers like OmniSTAR and RTK providers can help iron out wrinkles in your location accuracy. |
