TeeJet Launches New Guidance Units

TeeJet Technologies recently provided a sneak preview of its newest product for field guidance, the Matrix 570G and 840G. The Matrix series offers full access to all of TeeJet’s guidance subsystems, and adds an exclusive new twist: real-time video display.

The Matrix is designed to tie into video cameras that capture the field view in front of the operator and project it as the background on the screen. In “guidance over video” mode, the screen shows the guidance information overlaid on the live field view, providing a unique view of otherwise difficult-to-monitor aspects of the application operation and the machine.

The RealView cameras offered with the Matrix system feature strong night time illumination, a water- and dustproof enclosure, and adjust well to sun or shade conditions. The Matrix console is also compatible with AgCam cameras.

The two Matrix models differ in screen size, cameras supported, and screen capabilities. The 540G features a 5.4 inch touch screen display and four camera ports, while the 870G features an 8.7 inch display and 8 camera ports. The 870G also offers four-camera split screen view, high resolution display, home/up/down buttons and a more substantial ram mount for added stability.
Both units fully support other TeeJet modules, such as BoomPilot boom control and Field Pilot assisted steering, and are real time kinematic (RTK) capable via either CORS or base station signals. Both also feature significantly enhanced screen brightness for comfort and ease of use.
