Hemisphere GPS recently announced the availability of new installation kits for its Outback eDriveX auto-steering system. These new kits support articulated tractors, providing more options for customers seeking precision steering and control performance. The eDriveX also now supports reverse steering — a benefit to customers requiring the ability to reverse course under certain circumstances.
“Providing support for articulated tractors and reverse operation are the logical next steps for the eDriveX system,” says Jeff Farrar, Director of Marketing, Agriculture, for Hemisphere GPS. “With a large number of supported vehicles we are confident eDriveX will continue to build on the success of our auto-steering products.”
Customized installation kits allow Outback eDriveX to be used with a wide variety of agricultural vehicles from such manufacturers as Case IH, John Deere, and New Holland. The hydraulic steering installation kits come complete with all the necessary hoses, fittings, and brackets. Detailed, yet easy to use, vehicle-specific step-by-step instructions enable customers to install the system themselves with no special training. Typically, the entire hydraulic installation can be done in just a few hours.
When combined with Outback S3 and either Outback BaseLineX or Outback A220™/A221 for centimeter-level GPS accuracy, eDriveX offers a complete automated steering solution for precision applications.
Outback eDriveX and the eDriveX hydraulic steering installation kits are available through Outback Guidance Centers, other distributors in North America, and through Hemisphere GPS distributors worldwide.
