International RTK Survey Looking For Respondents

Precision farming is playing an increasing role in the production of food across the world and the availability of RTK Networks are allowing farmers improve the accuracy of in field operations. But how many RTK networks have been created for farmers to access this level of accuracy on their farm?

A global RTK Network survey is being carried out to establish how farmers receive their RTK network signal. The survey is available online through the website www.rtknetworksurvey.com. Anyone who is involved with an RTK Network is encouraged to complete it.

“RTK Networks are becoming more and more popular with farmers and I’m being asked on a regular basis how many networks are available to UK farmers and how network uptake in the UK compares to those in other parts of the world,” says Ian Beecher-Jones, an independent precision agriculture consultant who is carrying out the survey. “Having an understanding of the global market place has benefits for us all, not least in understanding how the market is developing and in which parts of the world,” he continued.

The simple survey is online and available in 10 languages to ensure as many farmers, dealers and manufacturers are able to compete the survey.

“I hope to be able to provide a comparison on how farmers are receiving their RTK signal from country to country and the amount of land under RTK Network service provision,” he added.
