Ag Leader To Deliver Cloud-Based Data Transfer Offering in 2014
The wait is nearly over for those who’ve been waiting for Ag Leader’s foray into wireless data transimission. In early 2014, a cloud-based platform called AgFiniti will debut, promising to allow wireless data file transfer from the equipment cab.
Individuals with an AgFiniti account will be able to send and receive files and data using a secure, cloud-based account. The same information can also be made accessible to a smartphone or tablet, and to trusted advisers of the user’s choosing.
The system requires the use of a special USB wi-fi adapter that can be attached to either the Integra or Versa displays. Any wi-fi hotspot can be utilized, so the system is not tied to a specific data contract or proprietary modem. Transfer speed is provider dependent, but may achieve up to 4G speeds.
AgFiniti is also HTML 5 compliant to work with any web browser. It is also compatible with Ag Leader’s SMS software, but AgFiniti users are not required to own it.
