A poll of our PrecisionAg.com audience that ran from late April through mid-June revealed that RTK GPS is heavily relied on by the majority of respondents.
Just over 45% of respondents indicated that they use RTK GPS 100% of the time in their operations. An additional 18% of respondents use it more than half the time.
Despite the popularity of the high-accuracy GPS option, more than one in four do not use RTK GPS at all in their operations.
For more information on adoption of GPS among soybean growers, as well as the use of other precision technologies, you can view a full research report produced by the PrecisionAg Institute here. Next month, the Institute is set to release the findings of a precision technology benefits study of corn growers. Look for details in a future edition of PrecisionAg eNews.
