Hemisphere GPS recently announced the availability of new installation kits for the high-performance Outback eDriveX auto-steering system. These new kits support autosteer ready tractors, a feature of many new tractor models. Hemisphere has designed the kits to ease installation and improve the portability of the auto-steer ready kits, make it simpler to take advantage of eDriveX automated steering performance.
eDriveX auto-steer ready kits are now available for machinery from a variety of manufacturers, such as CaseIH, New Holland, John Deere, and Challenger. The new eDriveX kits and all other Outback Guidance products are available through www.outbackguidance.com, Outback Guidance Centers, other distributors in North America, and through Hemisphere GPS distributors worldwide.
“Today auto-steering is the highest growth segment in precision farming. We are increasing our support for autosteer ready tractors by expanding our addressable market and adding even more value to our eDriveX product line,” says Jeff Farrar, Director of Marketing, Agriculture, for Hemisphere GPS. “Farmers with new or old machinery now have more options to choose from when seeking to maximize efficiency and yields through automating their operations.”
The auto-steer ready solutions combine eDriveX electronics, an Outback S3, and cabling to quickly outfit specified vehicles with eDriveX functionality. Hydraulic installation components are not necessary as the eDriveX electronic components plug directly into the vehicle’s steering system. Detailed, vehicle-specific instructions enable customers to install the system themselves with no special training. Typically, the entire auto-steer ready installation can be done in just an hour or two.
