Launched at AgriTechnica in Europe in November, Leica introduced its new iNEX mapping and guidance display to a US audience at the inaugural Ag Connect Expo in Orlando this week.
The iNEX works as a companion to the company’s mojoRTK in-dash unit, combining hte GPS functionality into a large, easy-to-use, full-color touchscreen unit.
The iNEX comes with standard guidance options, unlimited line storage, and multiple field views, and can be upgraded to customize a solution to an invidual user’s needs. Capabilities include real-time mapping in operator or full field view, and the built in Virtual Road capability gives the user an up-close view as they drive any wayline. The iNEX comes with three standard guidance options: parallel, A+ heading, and adaptive contours to help the user get started.
Its field data recording capability automatically stores and recalls data for multiple vehicle and field setups, and the unit automatically saves unfinished work allowing quick and easy field operation resumption.
Upgrades available at $1,000 each include: pivots, which allow a user to drive circles with the same accuracy as straight lines; Replay, an option that allows for the recall of a previous file to use as a guide for guidance in difficult-to-follow fields; and contours, which provides for guidance along a defined AB curve with identical curves that are equally spaced from the original path. Auto-section control can be added on for $1,495.
