Innovations with Ed Begley Jr. has announced it will feature Aglytix, Inc. in an upcoming episode, airing second quarter 2016 via Discovery Channel. Dates and show times TBA.

Aglytix develops technology solutions that focus on improving crop yield while benefitting the environment. In this segment, Innovations viewers will learn about how the Aglytix technology uses multiple data sources, including drones, to detect, locate, quantify, predict and diagnose crop production issues and their impact on yield.

In addition, audiences will get a behind the scenes look at how Aglytix helps farmers make better decisions about planting and caring for their crops, which results in reduced operating costs and fuel consumption levels, and contributes positively to reducing the CO2 footprint.

“We are very excited to share our story with the Innovations viewers. We know that by addressing key issues like weed control, fertilizer application, plant emergence and tillage practices, we can positively impact yield levels, while decreasing costs. The analytics we create are a game changer for agriculture – economically and environmentally,” said Jerry Johnson, Aglytix CEO.

“Aglytix believes that large scale farming can still be fundamentally benign to the environment and that improved farm practices will contribute positively to this,” said Peter Golding, Producer for the Series. “We look forward to educating audiences on the amazing things they’re doing.”
