CDMS Announces SeedIQ Acquisition

Crop Data Management Systems, Inc., (CDMS) announces the acquisition of SeedIQ as part of its growth plan to provide complete crop input data solutions.

The acquisition of SeedIQ will continue to expand CDMS’ position as the leading supplier of the most critical and up-to-date crop input data in the agricultural industry. The seed database adds to the already expansive nutrient and crop protection databases CDMS currently offers, and makes the three most important crop input decisions: crop protection, nutrition and seed, all available from CDMS.

CDMS’ model of providing the current, manufacturer-approved data for crop protection and nutritional products will continue and be expanded with a seed database that SeedIQ has developed and marketed over the last two years. Delivered to software, apps and developers through a variety of API’s (application programming interfaces), the seed data will enhance the offering of reference and logic- based API’s available from CDMS. This family of API’s is marketed under the brand ‘CDMS Inside.’

“We are excited to add seed reference data to the already robust CDMS product databases. SeedIQ has built a seed database that has momentum that can be accelerated by this acquisition. The market knowledge and experience of the SeedIQ team will make an immediate impact as part of CDMS.” states Vince Naso, CDMS, Inc. CEO.
