This week American Implement, a leading John Deere dealership based in Kansas, and AgDNA have announced a new partnership to deliver next generation precision ag services to farmers across west Kansas and east Colorado. The enterprise level precision farming platform helps farmers to increase yield, lower operating costs and maximize farm profitability using big-data analytics.

The solution seamlessly integrates with John Deere equipment to automatically analyze the agronomic data and produce actionable insights such as variable rate seeding and fertilizer prescriptions. The equipment data is complimented with other automated information sources including remote imagery, soil variability, weather, topography and user captured information such as scouting observations and soil surveys.

“To be able to offer such an integrated solution that automates the analysis of John Deere equipment data along with other critical agronomic information in a single software package is a real game changer,” said Gene McKinley, Director of Precision Ag for American Implement. “Combine this with its ability to automate inventory management and provide field level profitability reports with minimal user input makes it a must-have tool for our progressive customers.”

While signing the agreement this week AgDNA CEO Paul Turner said he believes the partnership is yet another sign of big data beginning to impact agriculture. “AgDNA is a fully automated big-data platform that has been designed to operate at a local level. This is why we partner with local dealers and tailor the solution for their customer’s specific needs. Farmers are amazed when they see how powerful the platform is and how easy it is to use because of the level of automation. No more data entry.”
