New Leader Introduces New Spreader

Highway Equipment Company, manufacturer of New Leader multi-purpose agriculture spreaders, recently introduced the L2000G4 fertilizer and lime spreader, a single bin spreader ideal for applying high rates of fertilizer and low rates of lime

The L2000G4 features laser-cut manufacturing with a 304 stainless steel body (painted 409 stainless steel also available) and upgraded components.

Using the patented G4 variable rate broadcaster, the L2000G4 delivers a consistent spread pattern up to 70′ wide and is able to broadcast up to two tons of lime per acre at 12 miles per hour and can dial down to 50 pounds of fertilizer per acre. In addition, the L2000G4 features stainless steel take-up brackets, hydraulic tank, and fenders to reduce corrosion, as well as hydraulics located toward the cab, away from heavy corrosion zones, which increases the service life of the spreader. Ideal for mounting on a straight, semi-float or full-float truck, the L2000G4 also features a three-ply Moderate Oil Resistant (MOR) straight belt option which eliminates the conveyor chain and chain oiler, reducing maintenance time and expense. The company’s new laser cut manufacturing provides one-piece side sheet construction to reduce seams and potential corrosion zones.

According to the company, New Leader’s #5 multi-ply straight belt conveyor, featured on the L2000G4, requires less maintenance and lasts longer than web chains. “On average, web chains must be replaced every three years and require continual maintenance,” said Craig Fenstermaker, New Leader Product Manager. “For a limited time, New Leader is offering a five year warranty on a #5 straight belt conveyor or a three year warranty on a #4 belt-over-chain conveyor.” To learn more about these warranty offers, customers are encouraged to contact their authorized New Leader dealer and ask about the “Five for #5” or “Three for #4” offers.
