Terra Industries has committed its corporate and financial support to the PrecisionAg Institute, an independent global forum dedicated to the sharing of precision agriculture practices, ideas, research, products, services and success stories. The PrecisionAg Institute is managed by the CropLife Media Group of Meister Media Worldwide.
“Terra has long advocated the use of the best technology in helping growers to optimizing yields and making efficient use of inputs,” says Mike Bennett, President and CEO of Terra Industries, Inc. “We are pleased to assist in communicating the benefits of these tools through our involvement in the PrecisionAg Institute.”
The company has joined as a Precision Partner, reinforcing their commitment to improving the transfer of knowledge, the widening of adoption, and effectiveness of the use of precision agriculture technology. They join AGCO Global Technologies, Ag Leader Technology, Case IH, John Deere, Micro-Trak Systems, Inc., Mosaic, OmniStar, Raven Industries, Rawson Control Systems, and SST Development Group, bringing the total number of Precision Partners to eleven. In addition to the financial support Terra has supplied, the company will be providing guidance and counsel as activities and initiatives move forward in the months ahead.
“By signing on as a Precision Partner, each one of these organizations has expressed a belief in and commitment to agriculture, and the critical importance that technology provides for improving yield, efficiency, and the bottom line for the crop production channel,” says Paul Schrimpf, group editor of the CropLife Media Group.
