For now, the move to acquire Yahoo! seems to have been rebuffed. However, last week's thoughtful conteplations on a potential Yahoo!-Microsoft deal provided a lot of insight into what's lacking in the world of technology today, and what some big thinkers would like to see happen. Thoughts On The Microsoft/Yahoo! Merger: Marc Vanacht, ABC Consultants

Marc is a true futurist, travelling the country and the world for big ideas and new information. His experience with technology is vast, as is his knowledge of agriculture, so his take on the merger is of particular interest.

His perspective expresses concern about the power of information that it would put in the hands of a single company, a concern undoubtedly shared by many in the fiercely independent world of farming and agriculture.
