Software Provides Mini Bulk Compliance Solution

AgWorks Software has announced the launch of its AgTankTracker software. AgTankTracker focuses on the need for a robust mobile point of activity (POA) data capture and reporting software to support the EPA mini bulk compliance regulations that go into effect in August 2011. AgTankTracker is a cost-effective application comprised of two components; a Tank Gun (mobile handheld) and a Web application.

AgTankTracker utilizes a Windows-based Tank Gun handheld for remote data collection and bar code scanning. Data collected on the handheld is stored safely and securely in the Web application or ‘in the cloud’ for simple access via any Web-accessible computer terminal at any location. Tank Gun software is flexible enough to fit the varying needs of the retail and wholesale warehouse environments while offering the end user peace-of-mind in knowing their transactions comply with the 2011 EPA mini-bulk requirements.

AgTankTracker offers the user a company-wide standard for record keeping and compliance reporting which can be difficult to manage outside of a software application. AgTankTracker alleviates the serious asset tracking problem facing the ag retail industry by allowing users to see the locations of all of their tanks while nearly eliminating the associated clerical duties. Robust reporting features are accessible from any computer with an internet connection allowing the user to easily reproduce the necessary documents to comply with all EPA requirements regarding mini-bulk compliance.

AgWorks ran testing on AgTankTracker through June, including retailer participants, United Suppliers, and The McGregor Company. It became available for purchase earlier this month.
