New AGRIS Verion Released

John Deere Agri Services has released AGRIS 9.5, an upgrade to the business management system, focused on improved processing speed with the use of an enhanced database engine.
Additional technology advancements to the system include compatibility with Windows Vista Ultimate and Business Editions (32- and 64-bit) operating systems. The AGRIS Version 9.5 upgrade — which includes the AGRIS V9 business system, the AgroGuide agronomy management system, and the oneWeigh scale automation system — also includes usability improvements, new reports, and additional functionality enhancements, according to the company.

Average report run time improved by 50% in testing. Added features include new reports in the Accounts Receivable and Commodity Management packages, ticket form updates to the agronomy system, and improvements to auto ID and message board functionality in the oneWeigh system. A new flow meter interface has also been added in the scale automation system that allows for the ability to interface with the Smith Meter AccuLoad III flow meter to easily and accurately capture movement of temperature-adjusted gallons of biofuels or other liquids.

“This new version of the AGRIS system represents a substantial technology upgrade that users will certainly notice and appreciate,” says Tom Angell, director of marketing for John Deere Agri Services. “We are pleased with the testing results that show a considerable improvement in the report processing speed, and we are also excited to increase functionality, such as the new reports and flow meter interface, that helps agribusinesses run more efficiently,” notes Angell.
