Google Offers Low-Cost GPS Tracking

The Trackstick II is now available from Google, a portable device that provides GPS tracking information for a wide variety of applications.

About the size of a thumb drive, the Trackstick II can be used to track anything that moves. The unit records its own location, time, date, speed, heading and altitude at preset intervals. Its 1 megabyte memory capacity allows it to store it can store months of travel information. It also Includes a GPX photo stamping feature for adding photos.

The Trackstick II receives signals from the Wide Area Augmentation System and calculates its position anywhere on the planet to within fifteen meters.
Exact location and route traveled can be viewed and played back directly within Google Earth. Everything is included and there are no monthly fees.
